LIGHT SOURCE-TUNABLE RADIATION SOURCES

Light Sources are compact, user-friendly, and highly efficient tunable illumination systems. They offer a broad spectral tuning range from 190 nm to 2500 nm with a continuously adjustable bandwidth, making them ideal for a wide array of scientific and industrial applications requiring precise wavelength control.

  • Optical power – milliwatts at 6 nm of output bandwidth;
  • Power density up to 60µW/(nm*mm2);
  • Spectral resolution up to 0.5nm;
  • Laser-pumped plasma broadband light source XWS-65;
  • Light source lifetime >10000 hours;
  • Automated monochromator WM200 or WM300 with astigmatism compensation;
  • Focusing and collimating optics, optical fiber coupling options, etc.

Description

The WL200 and WL300   tunable light sources are built upon cutting-edge ultra-bright laser-pumped plasma sources WL from Isteq B.V. and the proven wide-aperture monochromators WM200 and WM300 . These systems deliver exceptional spectral power density across a broad range—from 190 nm to 2500 nm—making them ideal for demanding metrological applications.

Key highlights:

  • Broad Spectral Coverage: From deep UV (190 nm) through NIR (up to 2500 nm).
  • High Power Density & Stability: The WL light source outperforms traditional discharge lamps with significantly higher spectral brightness, superior spatial and temporal stability, and longer operational lifetime.
  • Optimized Performance via Monochromator Selection:
    • WM200: Compact, efficient, and ideal for general applications
    • WM300: High-resolution, fully automated monochromator with double the focal length of M150. This allows:
      • Twice the spectral resolution
      • Or 2× wider slits, yielding up to 4× higher optical output power.
  • Imaging Optics: Both monochromators include astigmatism-compensating optics for enhanced spectral fidelity.
  • Example Configuration: XWS-M150 with 1200 grooves/mm (blazed at 250 nm) and 300 grooves/mm (blazed at 500 nm) gratings enables high spectral power in the 200–1100 nm range.

Thanks to their versatility, stability, and unmatched performance, the XWS systems are indispensable for precision spectroscopy, calibration tasks, and other applications requiring tunable monochromatic light.

Applications
