The WM500 is a long-focal, automated universal monochromator-spectrograph known for its high spectral line quality and minimal stray light.
It supports up to two input and two output ports. The input port can be equipped with either a standard input slit or an optional crossed input slot. All spectral slits are automated, with software-controlled adjustable widths. Additionally, the slits feature a micro-screw for manual fine-tuning. Depending on the configuration, the WM500 can be equipped with either a four-position diffraction grating turret or a single grating holder.
Automated Monochromator-Spectrograph WM500
With a high aperture ratio (F/3.8), minimal stray light, and excellent line quality, the WM500 is perfectly suited for a broad range of spectroscopic applications.
Equipped with two input and two output ports, the system can be configured with a wide selection of wavelight's accessories, including standard and crossed entrance slits, order-sorting filter wheels, aperture matching optics, optical fibers, CCD detectors, and compatible adapters.
The WM500 imaging version ensures full astigmatism compensation and delivers high spatial resolution along the exit slit while maintaining superb spectral line quality.
Full automation allows for software-controlled scanning, diffraction grating selection, filter wheel operation, slit width adjustment, and output port selection—all managed via intuitive, user-friendly software.
An automatic shutter enables dark current subtraction and protects the detector from overexposure.
Both output slits are equipped with precise focusing mechanisms, and the detector adapters allow for fine through-focus adjustment.
The software offers full control over the WM500 and its detectors, including panoramic spectrum acquisition by stitching multiple scans. It also includes extensive tools for spectral data processing and analysis.
The WM500 monochromator-spectrograph supports a comprehensive range of accessories designed to maximize light collection efficiency from samples at both finite and infinite distances. These options enable optimal light delivery to the monochromator—with or without optical fibers—and ensure effective aperture matching between components.
